It started innocent enough. Sophia was reading books to Ira. It was such a great moment that I got the camera out to film the scene. For about fifteen minutes they sat on the couch reading peacefully…until Sophia started dictating what would be read. Ira didn’t agree. She tried hiding a book from Ira. He wasn’t having it.
I think this is almost as cute as ‘charlie bit my finger’! Esp the expressions on Ira’s face! He forgave once but two times was too much! And then that innocent smile and ‘I think I hurt my head, too’. But I’m a boy so ‘just shake it off’ and go on!!
totally hilarious! who could ever imagine that a younger sibling would do something like that and then act completely innocent? not me. never. and, thankfully, sophia didn’t inherit a flair for the dramatics. love y’all!
Regretfully, the drama continues even at 24 and 26 years old–won’t begin to say to whom I am referring, but how many times has that same drama played out at our house! What a joy to see Ira and Sophia interacting like that. Joe, I seem to remember many “innocent” expressions from you–so Ira comes by it naturally. Love you all. Can’t wait ’til the “summer of the Hayes”–we’re anxious to see you all and experience those precious faces in person. Aunt Jackie
Fritz, never in a million years will I tell you what I think about that little video! I’d risk the wrath of ONE of my grandchildren years from now. But I couldn’t help but think that the expressions on BOTH their faces at different times would make a Hollywood director drool! Priceless!

Shock and awe…
I want to know what Gram thinks . . .
