oh my goodness, that's funny...the stuff that white people like. you would not believe how many white people have come to me saying that same stuff about the wire.

i saw the first season, but not the rest...i'm just going to borrow the rest of the seasons (box sets, of course), from one of my white friends, matt. seriously.

too funny :)

I hate to admit this because I am a member of a church of Christ, but my favorite show is Sex and the City. I actually prefer the TBS version - it's a little less shocking. I see myself being one of the gang - you know, Charlotte, Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Amy. I would be the Christian voice - I'm sure my character would only last one episode.

We've started watching Deadwood. Astonishingly plentiful use of the most colorful of language, but still, I love. Somehow the villains are just charismatic enough to keep me rooting for them, and the good guys are complex enough to keep me looking for their darkness.

I didn't know you had been watching the wire. I'm just finished season two and I'm starting on season 3 right now. I'd be interested in discussing it with you sometime, and I do think you might be a "good police"

I sometimes wish I had the intelligence to be like the character Temperance Brennan on "Bones." Since she's loosely based on a real person, it feeds my delusion that it's possible.

I'm worse about this with movies. I wanted to be Meg Ryan's character from "You've Got Mail" for a very long time--minus the melodrama. I fancy that I could be the best little bookstore owner in any big city if I tried hard enough.

I love "The Closer", "Without a Trace", "NCIS" and "Cold Case." On DVD I have all of the seasons for "6 Feet Under". That was one unique show!

Ooooh, and I wish I were a Cylon! Or really, a Cylon-human love child. You know, hybridity saves the world and all that.
